Check-up

Your first visit starts with a check-up. We take our time to examine your teeth, gums, jaw joint and the soft tissues of your mouth.

What happens at a check-up?

• We listen to your complaint and your dental history.
• If needed, we take a panoramic or small X-ray.
• We assess decay, gum disease and old fillings one by one.
• We show you what we found on screen and explain the options and how long each takes.

You leave with a written treatment plan. Nothing is started until you have agreed to it.

How often?

Without a specific problem, two check-ups a year are enough for most adults. If you have a history of gum disease, we set the interval together.
